‘You have no idea’ – Darren Bent shares details of conversation he’s had with Henderson about Bellingham

Darren Bent called Jude Bellingham ‘incredible’ and shared details of a conversation he had with Jordan Henderson about Liverpool’s target.

The 19-year-old impressed for England at the World Cup in Qatar, which has only increased calls for the FA Cup champions to go all out in their signature hunt.

The Reds captain has been seen spending a lot of time with the former Birmingham City man off the pitch and Bent believes that is showing in the Borussia Dortmund man’s performances.

“Bellingham is unbelievable, he’s only 19 years old and he plays with a kind of bravery, isn’t he?” the former Premier League striker told talkSPORT.

“He can take the ball, pass people, create chances. He is an incredible talent.

“I really like what he has done. He left Birmingham, cultivated his talent and went to Borussia Dortmund, which polished him and turned him into a world beater.

“He could be one of the best midfielders in the world because he has all the attributes. He’s fast, he’s strong, he’s powerful, he can score a goal and he can see a pass.

“I texted Hendo the other day and said, ‘Jude Bellingham, what a player.

“All he told me was, ‘You have no idea.'”

Despite Bent’s great admiration for Bellingham and the fact that he valued the midfielder at ‘£120m plus’, the former Sunderland striker believes the Birmingham-born lad is not the most talented teenager to ever represent the Three lions.

“Rooney at 16 was a weirdo,” he added. “People forget how good Rooney was when he was a kid. At 18 at Euro 2004, he ran absolutely everything before suffering that injury.

“His performances at Euro 2004 have been better than Jude Bellingham’s at this tournament. People were saying we were going to win it before he didn’t have that injury.”

According to Christian Falk, Klopp’s men have a “very, very good chance” of capturing the teenager’s signature, but the German warned the Reds that they will have to “bring the money”.

With the potential he’s showing and the fact that he can be a mainstay in our midfield for the next decade, we shouldn’t be put off by the high price.

Liverpool fans are becoming more optimistic that we will see Bellingham at Anfield soon, but we will have to wait and see!
