Will Darwin Nunez drive Liverpool to new heights?

Darwin Núñez is one of Liverpool’s biggest signings in recent times, and he’s already caused a sensation.

The striker joined the Merseyside club in June 2022 for a reported fee of €75m (approximately $77m, or £64m) plus a whopping €25m in add-ons, but is he worth it? grief?

About Darwin Nunez

Darwin Gabriel Núñez Ribeiro (also known as Núñez) is a 23-year-old male professional footballer who currently plays nationally for Liverpool and internationally for the Uruguayan national team.

He was born in Artigas, Uruguay, in 1999, and began his youth career playing for La Luz, followed by San Miguel de Artigas and Peñarol, before moving up to Peñarol’s senior team in 2017.

He moved to Almería in 2019, where he scored 16 goals in 30 appearances, and was then quickly absorbed by Benfica, where he scored 32 goals in 57 appearances.
