White blames Klopp for ‘toxic’ relationship between Liverpool and Man City

Liverpool and Manchester City issued a joint statement following incidents at previous meetings and now Jim White has blamed these sentiments on Jurgen Klopp and his behavior on the sidelines.

Speaking on talkSPORT, the 65-year-old said: “That photo of Klopp right in the linesman’s face, fully motivated, yes, but he shouldn’t have done it and that’s why he got a ban and increases it. [the ill feeling between supporters]”.

Our manager was upset with a referee’s decision and admitted his reaction was over the top, but blaming the Etihad Stadium supporters who chant disparagingly about Hillsborough is a joke.

There is never an excuse to sing about people who have died in a tragedy, to paint murals with references to the dead, or to commit acts of vandalism.
