Vincent Kompany praises the two Man United players that made the difference against his team – Man United News And Transfer News

Manchester United achieved a two-nil victory last night against Vincent Kompany’s Burnley.

United got two goals through Christian Eriksen and Marcus Rashford.

Eriksen finished off a terrific cross from Aaron Wan-Bissaka and fired the ball out of reach of the Burnley keeper.

However, it was Rashford’s goal that was chosen of the two. He launched a brilliant run, grappling with two Burnley defenders and firing a powerful low shot that found the bottom left corner.

Along with Rashford, Bruno Fernandes was another prominent actor. He excelled in his favorite game-making role in which he sought to make things happen.

Fernandes seems to have picked up where he left off with Portugal during the World Cup, where he was brilliant.

Rashford and Fernandes earned praise from Kompany, who labeled them the difference makers against his team.

Kompany said after the game: “I thought both goals worked very well. Fernandes’ pass is perfect and for Ian (Maatsen), a young full-back, he needs to learn to anticipate these balls”.

“Then also, the center backs, the young center backs, are going to learn to anticipate that the ball will come back out of the frame.”

The former Manchester City defender added: “I thought there was a lot of quality on the pass. Again, the goal we conceded from Rashford was very quality on the counterattack, and that was always going to be a danger for us”.

Goals from Eriksen and Rashford were enough to send the Red Devils to the quarterfinals.

The 20-time English champions will meet their next opponent tonight when the draw takes place after Manchester City and Liverpool play each other.
