Pep Guardiola has angered Liverpool fans by mocking Steven Gerrard’s famous slip against Chelsea.
In a stormy press conference yesterday, Guardiola came to City’s defense against the club accused by the Premier League of breaching the rules.
A visibly upset Guardiola accused the rest of the 19 Premier League teams, including Liverpool, of conspiring against his club.
And now, Fabrizio Romano has shared a clip from the press conference in which he also poked fun at Steven Gerrard’s unfortunate slip against Chelsea, which became a key moment as Liverpool lost the title to City in the 2013 season. /2014.
He said sarcastically:
I don’t know if we are responsible for the Steven Gerrard slip, you know in that situation at Anfield.
I didn’t want it out of respect for Steven Gerrard, but it’s our fault.”
