That did not stop the ex from Benfica from remembering Everton Abdoulaye Doucoure’s score after his substitution, of course, in a hilarious video captured online.
However, the lack of effort simply cannot be contained against the Uruguayan star, after delivering a terrific outing down the forward line that saw him create Mo Salah’s opening goal after a searing counter-attack and being a generally threatening presence for the left flank. .
No doubt the goals will start flowing once again at some point, but Jurgen Klopp and his coaching staff have every reason to be heartened by a performance that fits perfectly in the spirit of Liverpool.
