Ian Wright admitted that Liverpool were unlucky enough to receive a penalty after Thiago Alcantara’s minor contact with Gabriel Jesus’ boot.
It was a verdict shared by former Red Michael Owen, who insisted there was a lack of clear precedent for awarding a penalty kick against the Spanish playmaker.
While the visitors’ performance wasn’t worthy of taking home maximum points, Jurgen Klopp has every right to feel a bit aggrieved after two costly mistakes denied us at least a share of the spoils.
