Liverpool may have come from behind to beat Fulham 2-1 at Anfield last night, but the Reds may still feel aggrieved at not being awarded a penalty when they were still 1-0 down.
Alexis Mac Allister sent a free kick into the area and the ball clearly hit Antonee Robinson on the hand before Joao Palhinha tipped it out of danger.
The US international tried to head the ball, but the fact is that the ball clearly hit his arm and if he didn’t head it, he was heading into a dangerous area.

VAR was not in use at Anfield last night (due to Championship team Middlesborough’s participation in the competition), and referee David Coote was quick to reject any appeal from the Liverpool players.
It would have been interesting to see what decision would have been made if VAR had been used.
However, Curtis Jones and Cody Gakpo managed to score three minutes apart to turn the game around after Willian’s first goal, so the questionable decision not to award a penalty did not end up costing us the first leg.
