Germany is sweating for their World Cup status once again at the hands of Japan, after the latter equalized against Spain just minutes into the second half. Within six minutes, they were in front.
Spain dominated the first half and perhaps were unlucky not to take more advantage of it, but they took the lead with Álvaro Morata’s third goal of the tournament.
Just five minutes into the second half, Ritsu Doan used successful high pressing to snag the ball. He took the ball well, before unleashing a ferocious punch: Unai Simon will still be disappointed in his efforts.
What. A rocket!! ?

They then took the lead soon after, with Doan again as the lead. Whether he leads Germany out will be controversial. It seemed that the ball had gone out before Ao Tanaka shot it to the other side of the box.

As it is, Japan will go through as group champions, while Spain would do so in second place by virtue of goal difference. If Costa Rica wins and this result stands, then Spain would clash with Germany.
