Video: “I don’t think so”

Liverpool’s season has been very disappointing so far and with Reds fans expecting their club to sign a midfielder this January, manager Jurgen Klopp has dashed their hopes in his press conference today.

The Reds are currently seventh in the Premier League and face a real challenge to finish in the top four. Jurgen Klopp has plenty of injuries to his forward players and he addressed them by signing PSV’s Cody Gakpo this month.

The Merseyside club still need to sign a midfielder, however, but Klopp believes the club’s deal this month is done.

Speaking about the potential new players coming to Liverpool, Klopp said via Sky Sports: “I don’t think so, it’s just the situation. My job is to use the guys we have.

“I like the teams we field, but when we start to change you realize that we don’t have three, four, five options, that’s the situation.

‘You can’t sort all the problems in the transfer window. I know in a dream country you would just buy players and bring them over, but I don’t see it coming.
