The South American nation, which faced France in Sunday’s grand final, outclassed their European rivals with Lionel Messi once again playing a key role.
The game itself was an exciting encounter with six goals spread evenly in 120 minutes of play.

Kylian Mbappe scored a hat trick, but the individual efforts of the Paris Saint-Germain superstar were not enough to carry his country over the finish line.
After a dramatic penalty shootout, Argentina won 4-2 with successful penalty kicks converted by Messi, Paulo Dybala, Leandro Paredes and Gonzalo Montiel.
Although Frenchmen Randal Kolo Muani and Mbappé scored their penalties, Aurelien Tchouameni and Kingsley Coman missed theirs, meaning Montiel was tasked with winning it for Argentina, and he did not disappoint.
