The Brazilian was assisted by Jadon Sancho to score with a deflected first shot off Hugo Lloris to put United ahead on the night. The midfielder had fallen out of favor with Erik ten Hag this season, but has probably earned more minutes on the pitch after an impressive performance and goal.

United looked wild in the first half and were unlucky enough to go into half-time without scoring. Three points could move the team closer to the top four, which is a key target for the Manchester team this season.
