Uruguay looked set to progress to the round of 16, as two goals from Giorgian de Arrascaeta put Diego Alonso in the driving seat in Group H.
However, when news of South Korea’s victory against Portugal leaked out, the mood quickly changed, leaving Luis Suárez anxious and close to tears on the bench.
It was a high-quality match, so it would be a great shame to see both teams out of the round of 16 if the score remains as it is.
