Clint Dempsey had Jamie Carragher and his co-hosts chuckling on CBS after making a hilarious misstep on live in response to the topic of welcoming a sixth child into the world, one that invited an embarrassed response to the ‘ intimate details’ by presenter Kate Abdo.
Many Liverpool fans will remember the former striker as once a priority for Brendan Rodgers, who was interested in the idea of swapping now-captain Jordan Henderson for the former Fulham star.
Although undoubtedly a quality footballer in his time, we couldn’t be more grateful for the fact that our captain dug in his spurs and fought for a place in the squad.
Just think of the trophy-raising celebrations we would have missed from the English!
