Darwin Nunez returned to his scoring form with a powerful shot from close range to give Liverpool the lead at St. James’ Park.

Trent Alexander-Arnold caught his electric teammate’s run with a wonderful pass that was superbly controlled just outside the 18-yard box before being flung into the net with force.

The Uruguayan international’s goal had been subject to a VAR control after the hand complaints against the 23-year-old, although fortunately the goal was approved.
