Cristiano Ronaldo is fast becoming the most irrelevant superstar in world football after continuing his childhood antics in Manchester with the Portugal national team.
After recording a massive 6-1 win over Switzerland, largely without the help of the 37-year-old, Fernando Santos’s men were seen celebrating in full after they confirmed their place in the quarter-finals.
The former Real Madrid striker refused to take part in such light-hearted post-match scenes, instead being seen sneaking into the players’ tunnel.
