Brendan Rodgers may not have been the only manager in English football much more anxious about Aston Villa’s decision to sack Steven Gerrard.
The Scousers’ former manager at Liverpool expressed his bitter disappointment in his former team captain, noting the growing unwillingness to favor “stability and patience”.
It’s a clear message for the Leicester City hierarchy, as much as it is for Aston Villa, with the Foxes still in the relegation zone after playing 11 games of the Premier League season.
