Manchester United loan Amad Diallo was on the scoreboard yesterday as Sunderland cruised to a 4-1 win against Wigan Athletic.
Diallo started the game and played the full 90 minutes as the Black Cats ran riot at DW Stadium.
Amad capped his excellent performance with a brilliant goal that was the choice of Tony Mowbray’s men’s group.
Diallo, who was playing on his favorite right wing, received a brilliant ball from one of his teammates.
The Ivorian then fired a ferocious shot from outside the box with his left foot, depriving Wigan Athletic goalkeeper Jamie Jones of the chance.

Diallo gave his goal a fitting celebration: a knee slide before performing a rhythmic dance popularly known as “the griddy.”
Overall, the 20-year-old general delivered a master class against Wigan, who he pestered all night.
The United loanee was constantly up against his man, showing off his excellent feet and prowess with the ball at his feet.
In terms of passing, Amad was also superb. He created numerous chances for his teammates and another day, he would have had more than one goal himself.
He came close to scoring twice before his wonderful goal.
Diallo’s earlier shot was saved by Jones, who acrobatically dove low and prevented the ball from going in with his feet.
The youngster came close again against the Wigan goalkeeper but could only hit the woodwork. Earlier this week, Sunderland boss Mowbray spoke about Diallo, refuting rumors that United are looking to take him out on loan.
Fabrizio Romano indicated that United is very happy and content with the young man’s stage at the Estadio de la Luz.
The Red Devils have also turned down proposals from Italy for Diallo.
