Victor Osimhen: Man United target says Napoli will decide his fate – Man United News And Transfer News

32

Manchester United target Victor Osimhen has said that Napoli will decide his fate at the end of the Serie A season, with several clubs circling for his signature.

It has been repeatedly reported that Osimhen is Erik ten Hag’s number one target for the striker position.

Also reportedly on Ten Hag’s roster are Harry Kane, Benjamin Sesko, Randal Kolo Muani and Benfica’s Goncalo Ramos.

However, Ten Hag is said to be attracted to Osimhen’s physicality and fast pace, which the United manager believes can be a weapon in his favor.

Along with United, Chelsea and Real Madrid are also fans of the Nigerian superstar.

Osimhen spoke to ESPN and discussed his future and ongoing links with clubs like United.

He said: “When you are doing so well, the best clubs around the world are watching, mainly in the top five leagues. And being able to attract the interest of these big clubs shows that I am doing very well and gives me the motivation to do even more for myself and my team.”

“But right now I’m concentrating on Napoli and they have the last word. I just want to help my team win games and win trophies.”

“At the end of the season, we will see what will happen, but that does not depend on me. The club must decide.”

It’s easy to see why United might be desperate to sign Osimhen.

In 19 league games, the 24-year-old has scored 18 times and is on course to win the Golden Boot in Italy.

Napoli are also at the top of the table and enjoy a 15-point gap between them and second-placed Inter Milan.
