Updates on Angel Di Maria’s latest injury and potential return date –

Here we again. New year, same old problems for Ángel Di María. As we waited for the Argentine to take part in the trip to Cremona for the restart, we learned that he will instead remain in Turin after picking up another injury.

The winger has already spent three different times on the stretcher during the first half of the campaign. He, too, suffered a knock during Argentina’s triumphant World Cup campaign before returning to the starting line-up for the final.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport via JuventusNews24, Di María suffered an injury to his right ankle, but luckily it is only a minor blow.

The source expects him to return in three days, so it is also a doubt for the Old Lady’s match against Udinese this Saturday.

But while this blow is thankfully not serious, the more worrying aspect is the fact that the World Cup winner has unfortunately become prone to injury. And at the age of 34, his condition could even worsen in the future.

According to the source, Di María has only played 394 minutes of a potential 1890 since joining Juventus in the summer. Only three of his teammates have played less this season: Federico Chiesa, who recently returned from an ACL injury, bench warmer Daniele Rugani and youngster Matias Soulé.
