Unjust call preserves fair result – -Juvefc.com

Comfortable victory, routine triumph, dominant performance… these are some of the terms that have apparently escaped from the book of Juventus FC.

These days, every outing is a struggle and every win should be celebrated, as the taste of victory has become hard to come by.

On Sunday night, Juventus made life difficult by hosting Salernitana at the Allianz Stadium, because that’s just what Juventus do these days.

After trailing 0-2 at half-time, Gleison Bremer pulled one back for the Bianconeri early in the second, but we had to wait until the 93rd minute for a clumsy equalizer as Leonardo Bonucci converted on the rebound from his own missed penalty.

A minute later, Arkadiuz Milik stole the headlines by snatching the spectacular winner from him, sending the crowd into a frenzy. But then, of course, the VAR called the referee in for a review and decided to annul the winner due to Bonucci offside, fueling a chaotic finish marked by a host of red cards.

While we tried to avoid endless debates on arbitration decisions, most observers felt that it was a tough call.

But truth be told, Juventus did not deserve to escape with the three points after another disheartened display simply because they decided to wake up in the final minutes.

At the end of the day, a dot is exactly what we deserve on the back of this uninspiring display.

Now here are some quick takeaways from Sunday’s action:

For the second time in five days, Juan Cuadrado struggled to face a younger and more energetic left-back (this time it was Pasquale Mazzocchi). Unsurprisingly, La Vespa needs more rest at the age of 34, although we are short on options at the moment. Alex Sandro Sandro didn’t look too bad when he came off the bench. Perhaps his problem is physical more than anything else, as he just doesn’t have much in the tank these days. Dusan Vlahovic is supposedly our best free kick and penalty taker. However, he was rejected both times, or maybe he decided it himself. Either way, it turned out to be fruitless and uncomfortable decisions. Someone should tell Moise Kean that pushing his opponent to the ground is not a proper way to defend himself. Frustrating. Milik should start more games while Fagioli should get more playing time.
