Some Juventus fans were caught on camera making racist gestures during their game against PSG this week, and UEFA has opened an investigation into it.
The Bianconeri have one of the largest fan bases among European clubs, with some traveling with the team wherever there is a match.
These fans rooted for them in Paris as they faced the Ligue 1 champions in an eventual 2-1 loss.
Juve left the match feeling they could have gotten more out of the game, but some of their fans were busy in the stands making racist gestures.
It is unclear if they were targeting PSG fans or specific people.
Football Italia reports that UEFA is investigating footage showing a Juve fan making racist gestures, with some making Nazi salutes during the match.
Juve FC says
This football club is against racism and it’s sad that some of their fans still take part in the ugly act.
We need to catch these culprits and ban them from supporting us from the stands.
We hope that the club will cooperate with the UEFA investigators and provide them with all the information they need to find those responsible.
Hopefully they will be dealt with and it would send a message to other racists who support us.
