Tyson Fury To Fight Oleksandr Usyk On April 29th In Undisputed Clash

It looks like Tyson Fury vs Oleksandr Usyk might finally be announced. The heavyweight pair have been negotiating a fight for some time now, but promoter Frank Warren revealed today that the fight will take place “100 percent” on the last weekend of April.

Undisputed ‘100 Percent’ Heavyweight Clash In

Promoter Frank Warren has today confirmed the news that all boxing fans wanted to hear. That’s right, the Queensberry Promotions kingpin has confirmed that the undisputed heavyweight clash Tyson Fury vs Oleksandr Usyk will happen ‘100 per cent’ in April.

We’re closer than ever to seeing the first undisputed heavyweight clash in boxing’s four-belt era. The last time all belts were on the line in the heavyweight division was when Lennox Lewis defeated Evander Holyfield by unanimous decision in their rematch in 1999.

In a recent interview, Warren confirmed that negotiations between Fury and Usyk are almost complete and that the fight will be officially announced next week. The English boxing promoter is fully confident that an agreement will be reached and that the fight will take place “100 per cent” on April 29.

Saudi Arabia looks like the prime destination for this undisputed heavyweight competition. According to Warren, a final location will be announced in six to seven days. However, Wembley Stadium in London, England is the backup venue for the fight if negotiations somehow stall with the Saudis.

Oleksandr Usyk has reportedly already agreed to a site deal with Saudi Arabia, with ‘The Gypsy King’ currently negotiating his own deal at the moment.

Frank Warren Confident in Imminent Fury vs. Usyk Fight Announcement

In a recent interview with talkSPORT, Fury’s UK promoter Frank Warren revealed that the fight is almost done and will be announced imminently. Warren revealed to Simon Jordan and Jim White earlier today on his talkSPORT show that the fight will be ‘100 per cent’:

“The fight will take place 100 percent on the last Saturday of April. Where it will take place, I sincerely believe will be determined in the next six or seven days at the latest.

“If we can’t do what we’re being asked to do with Tyson and Usyk [in Saudi Arabia]then the fight will take place in the UK,” Warren said.

‘The Gypsy King’ has been uncharacteristically quiet on social media recently, despite hilarious videos of Usyk calling him a ‘belly’ and showing off footage of his training. The fact that Fury has kept quiet about this potential undisputed clash can only be a good thing. The silence from him is deafening and it looks like boxing fans will finally get to see the fight they all desperately want.

Let’s cross our fingers that the fight will be announced in the next few days. What a buildup that would be and what a compelling fight we could have. Tyson Fury vs. Oleksandr Usyk for all the marbles in the heavyweight division. Remarkable.

Tyson Fury will definitely enter the contest as the betting favorite with the best sports betting apps in the US. This is due to the fact that he reigned supreme in the heavyweight division for years, as well as being the man a lot bigger than Usyk.

Of course, Oleksandr Usyk will be the underdog in the betting for this fight due to the fact that he is much smaller than Fury. However, backing you as the underdog with the best offshore betting sites will be a huge price tag and could be worth a few bucks. We’ve seen what he did to Anthony Joshua twice, so who’s to say he can’t do it again?
