Tuchel sacking could give Liverpool the edge in race for Moises Caicedo

Chelsea have unexpectedly sacked Thomas Tuchel and this could help our search for a certain Brighton and Hove Albion midfielder.

As soon as the German was relieved of his duties, the overwhelming favorite for the job was immediately Graham Potter and he is now expected to be at least in the running for the part.

What does this have to do with Liverpool? Two words – Moises Caicedo.

The 20-year-old has already received strong suggestions to move away from the Seagulls with many hoping Anfield could be his final destination.

With his Instagram deadline following Jurgen Klopp’s team spree and reports from Ecuador suggesting we have ‘priority’ in potential negotiations after the World Cup, the Stamford Bridge decision could help us.

If the Ecuadorian is apparently already interested in moving to Merseyside, then losing his manager (the man many point to as the biggest asset at AMEX Stadium) may further convince him to move to the North West.

Moving from East Sussex seemed like something the midfielder was already interested in doing and Todd Boehly’s first sacking in London may have helped push him towards Jurgen Klopp’s Reds.
