Training pictures show focused Manchester United squad ahead of season opener – Man United News And Transfer News

As Manchester United Women prepare for their opening match of the WSL campaign on Saturday, the club have released training footage and player profiles on the official website.

An important thing to note was the presence of Millie Turner, who seems to be getting better in training with her teammates after her lengthy injury at the end of last season.

Several of United’s new signings were also photographed, including Nikita Parris and Aissatou Tounkara.

They seemed comfortable in their new surroundings at Carrington.

On every shot, the players are hard at work and appear focused ahead of their season opener on Saturday.

Meanwhile, United have also started featuring our senior Reds with player profiles on the website.

While introducing Mary Earps, the club said: “She will be looking to carry her Team of the Tournament form into this season,” after she put in a fantastic performance to help secure the Euros for the Lionesses.

Also in the training footage were two want-to-go stars, Ona Batlle and Jackie Groenen, who, despite harboring a desire to leave, seem to hit it off with their teammates as they were seen getting stuck.

That seemed to be short-lived, however, as hours after the images were released, rumors began to circulate that Groenen had gone to France to meet with PSG.

However, it looks like Batlle will stick around for now and after appearing in 21 of United’s 22 league games last season, he is very likely to be an integral part of the squad again this season.

Aoife Mannion has yet to return to training with the team as she continues to recover from an ACL injury.

United take on Reading at Leigh Sports Village on Saturday at 12 noon.
