Tottenham interested in Anthony Gordon transfer

Tottenham Hotspur are interested in the transfer of Everton winger Anthony Gordon. The London side have made significant progress since the arrival of manager Antonio Conte in November 2021.

They have won nine of their first 15 league games this season. Spurs are currently fourth in the Premier League table, eight points behind leaders Arsenal. Tottenham Hotspur will be looking to challenge for the EPL title this season. Antonio Conte is likely to bring reinforcements to his team in January in that regard.

According to journalist Paul Brown, Tottenham are monitoring Everton winger Anthony Gordon ahead of the January transfer window. Coach Antonio Conte sees something special in the young English winger.

Speaking to GIVEMESPORT, Brown said: “Tottenham’s interest in Anthony Gordon has never gone away. Conte, in particular, really likes this guy, he sees something special in him. The problem for them was that they didn’t value Gordon more than about $30 million in the summer.”

Anthony Gordon is one of England’s most promising attackers. He has turned heads with his dribbling style and skills, along with his ability to hit the ball cleanly. Gordon is also known for his high defensive contribution.

The 21-year-old attacker has made 63 Premier League appearances for Everton so far, registering seven goals and three assists. He won the Everton Players Player of the Season 2021-22 award.

Gordon also impressed with his performances for the England youth teams. He has scored four goals in nine appearances for the Three Lions Under-21 team so far.

Apart from Tottenham, Chelsea and Arsenal are also interested in the transfer of Anthony Gordon. His contract at Goodison Park will run until the end of the 2024-25 season. Everton are likely to demand a hefty transfer fee to sell Antony Gordon.

It would be intriguing to see how much Spurs are willing to pay in transfer fees to bring Anthony Gordon to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

When will the Premier League resume?

The English Premier League is currently on hiatus due to the FIFA World Cup, which is currently being played in Qatar. It will resume on Boxing Day (December 26) just a few days after the FIFA World Cup final.

Tottenham will face Brentford at the Gtech Community Stadium on December 26. Meanwhile, Everton will resume their campaign against Wolverhampton Wanderers at Goodison Park on December 26.
