Tottenham in talks with Google regarding stadium naming rights

Tottenham Hotspur are currently in talks with Google over the naming rights for their new stadium.

It has been more than three years since the new stadium was built, but club president Daniel Levy has been in no hurry to secure the naming rights for the club’s new stadium. The Spurs boss has always maintained that the club will wait for the right partnership and it appears that they are now in talks with Google.

Spurs have spent a sum of around £1 billion on the new stadium which has hosted world events such as the NFL, boxing matches, rugby matches and concerts along with the Premier League and UEFA Champions League.

According to a report from the AthleticInitial discussions have been quite meaningful and it will be interesting to see if both sides can come to an agreement soon.

Tottenham already have a number of lucrative financial deals in the form of shirt sponsorships, kit manufacturers and sleeve sponsorships with the likes of AIA, Nike etc.

Daniel Levy and Antonio Conte

A deal with Google would be seen as a huge financial blow to the London club.

Tottenham certainly need more resources to compete at the highest level and manager Antonio Conte has been outspoken about the need for high-profile signings.

A deal with Google would certainly boost the club’s transfer war chest and help the team improve substantially.

Spurs have improved dramatically since Conte’s arrival but still need quality signings to close the gap with heavyweights like Manchester City.
