Torino president Urbano Cairo shared his thoughts on the Della Mole Derby between Juventus and his side at the weekend and says there was nothing to separate the teams.
Juve earned a hard-fought 1-0 victory against their neighbors in a match both clubs needed to win.
They have gotten off to a poor start this term, and the Bianconeri were on a losing streak going into the match.
Juve’s players were under pressure to perform, with Max Allegri’s future at stake if they didn’t win the match.
They still struggled but finally got the job done and won all three points to prove who is the best team in town.
This helped give their fans something to cheer about, but Cairo says it was a close game and he thinks the honors were even.
He said through Football Italia:
”It was a 0-0 derby. I don’t think Juve have created much more than us. We had important chances with Vlasic, Lazaro and Miranchuk.
“About Lázaro Szczesny it was good. Like Vlahovic, Milinkovic-Savic was good in a couple of situations, but the goalkeeper is part of the team and I repeat that it was a draw. “
