The best streaming services for soccer fans

Soccer fans, more than other sports fans, use streaming services to watch games in the United States. As a result, television and streaming rights deals for the numerous international soccer leagues are split between several services. This often means that teams playing in different competitions within a country are available on two or three different services in the US.

Confusing, much? Absolutely. That’s why we make our Soccer TV Schedules app available for free on Android and iOS devices, in addition to publishing all soccer schedules on this site.

However, to watch the games, these are the three must-see streaming services we recommend for football fans.

The best streaming services that soccer fans can use in the United States

ESPN+

When it comes to having as many options as possible, no other streaming service has as many football games as ESPN+. ESPN’s paid streaming platform has access to LaLiga in Spain and the Bundesliga in Germany. These allow fans to watch some of the biggest teams in the world, such as Bayern Munich, Barcelona and Real Madrid. Likewise, ESPN+ has live matches from the Copa del Rey and the DFB-Pokal.

Outside of the top five European leagues, ESPN+ has coverage of the Dutch Eredivisie, the English championship, as well as League One and League Two. Of course, it doesn’t have all the games from each of those competitions, but the best games are still there.

ESPN+ also covers the FA Cup and League Cup in England. While NBC may have the rights to the Premier League, the top teams are in action all season long with those two cup competitions.

Supreme+

The CBS streaming service doesn’t have as many options as ESPN+. However, what it does have, Paramount+ does very well. Featured options on Paramount+ are the UEFA Champions League and Serie A. The service also covers the AFC Asian Cup and competitive matches involving the United States. That includes select World Cup and Nations League qualifying matches in North America.

It’s one thing to have options, but CBS is unrivaled in its studio coverage and the way it covers football. Paramount+ has studio programs dedicated to the UEFA Champions League and Serie A, attracting a large number of viewers on the service and its social networks. Paramount+ also makes it accessible to watch each game easily. The games are organized by competition. CBS also offers interactive programs for the Champions League and Europa League. Then, during the knockout stages, a multicast allows fans to watch two games at once and a producer switches between game audios.

Our choice:

Includes: Champions League, Europa League, Serie A, NWSL, Primera Argentina, Brasileirão, Scottish Premiership, Women’s Super League and more

Peacock

Most people think of the Premier League when they hear about Peacock, NBC’s paid streaming platform. There are usually five or six games on Peacock each Premier League matchday. That includes games simulcast from NBC. Additionally, Peacock has Goal Rush, the home-and-home show that traditionally takes place on Saturdays at 10 a.m. That provides the live action to an additional game. Therefore, most of the Premier League is available on Peacock.

However, the service goes much further. As part of the NBCUniversal group, Telemundo and Universo have content available on Peacock. In particular, this includes international competitions such as the World Cup. Every match from the 2022 Men’s World Cup and the 2023 Women’s World Cup was available on Peacock. Of course, the games were in Spanish, but that adds some drama with the passionate commentary.

Our choice:

Includes: Exclusive Premier League, USMNT/USWNT and Women’s World Cup games in Spanish, and more
