The long wait to see Jurgen Klopp’s team is already underway, but you still have the option to watch Liverpool games over the next weekend.
With the Reds’ trip to Chelsea postponed due to the need for additional police for the Queen’s funeral in the capital, there is another weekend without action in the Premier League.
It leaves Liverpool with two league games to reshuffle in 2023, creating a headache that you feel will only intensify as the season goes on.
With the first and only international break before the World Cup starting next week, it means Liverpool will go 17 days without playing before visiting Brighton on October 1.
But you can still get your Liverpool fix before then.
Who plays and when?
That may come first with the Under-18s, who host Man City on Saturday at 11am (BST), a game in which the Marc Bridge-Wilkinson side could sit top of the table with a win.
The young Reds are currently second after three games, three points behind unbeaten Sunderland, who host Newcastle, and if they lose and Liverpool win they will both sit top on nine points.
The match will air live on LFCTV GO and could feature the likes of Trent Kone-Doherty, Lewis Koumas, Terence Miles and Ben Doak, unless he gets a call-up to the U-21s for later that day.
The Under-18s have won two of their three league games this season. His last league outing, against Man United, saw the duo of Kone-Doherty and 16-year-old Doak shine, the former scoring his first two goals in a 4-2 victory.
With academy games you can always guarantee goals and the youngsters at the club have proven to be an entertaining watch with 18 goals in six games in all competitions.
The next day, Matt Beard’s team kick off their WSL season against reigning champions Chelsea, with a 5pm kick-off on Sunday at Prenton Park.
Liverpool Women were scheduled to start their campaign at Reading last week, but Queen’s death forced that meeting to be postponed and gives the Reds a rocky start to 2022/23.
The kick-off has been moved to accommodate the national moment of reflection for the Queen at 8:00pm Sky Sports is showing the match.
The reigning WSL champions vs. the Championship champions – a battle to watch!
In addition to those two games with Liverpool, Barry Lewtas’ Under-21 side will also play at Leicester on Saturday.
There is currently only one point separating the two teams after five games, however the 5pm kick-off is not shown on LFCTV GO.
The likes of Luke Chambers, Isaac Mabaya, Bobby Clark, Layton Stewart, Melkamu Frauendorf, and Stefan Bejcetic can be expected to appear.
So while there’s no Jurgen Klopp Reds, there’s still plenty in store for Liverpool this weekend!
