The Moroccan midfielder was then signed by Tottenham Hotspur on a two-year loan. His loan agreement later became a permanent one. In the years that followed, Taarabt failed to impress the Spurs management and was unable to secure a place in the team.

He was then loaned out to championship club Queens Park Rangers. By joining QPR, Taarabt finally began to develop his potential. The Moroccan midfielder showed the class of him and helped QPR to promotion to the English Premier League. Taarabt played two more seasons with QPR before their relegation. He then plied his trade with Fulham and Serie A giants AC Milan before finally signing for Benfica.

Football News: Taarabt signs for Al Nasr

Former Queen Park Rangers midfielder Adel Taarabt has joined Al Nassr SC of the UAE Pro League.

The former AC Milan footballer joined Benfica in 2015 on a five-year contract. However, after a series of poor performances, he was sent on loan to Genoa.

After spending a season at Genoa, he returned to Benfica. Taarabt then played for Benfica’s reserve team before finally establishing himself as a starter in the main team during the 2019-20 season.

Taarabt made over 70 appearances for the Portuguese giants. Ultimately, his contract was terminated in September 2022, making him a free agent.

After becoming a free agent, he was already looking for a club. So when a good offer came from Al Nasr, he agreed to join the UAE Pro League team.

AL Nasr is off to a decent start to his campaign and has picked up five points from three games. They currently sit fifth in a hotly contested Pro League table and are among four undefeated teams.
