Despite their underdog mentality, particularly against neighbors France, Germany and Italy, Switzerland is fairly consistent when it comes to international play.

Switzerland rarely has that big name in its lineup. Instead, the Swiss manage a balanced line-up of talented players plying their trade across Europe. In fact, some of Switzerland’s most experienced players have amassed more than a century of caps.
For example, Granit Xhaka and Xherdan Shaqiri, two of Switzerland’s most recognizable talents, have more than 100 caps. Fittingly, they are the team’s captain and vice-captain, respectively. Joining those two in that appearance milestone is defender Ricardo RodrÃguez. The current Torino winger spent many years at Wolfsburg.
However, there are young talents that Switzerland possesses. Breel Embolo was a player everyone had their eyes on to become a world-class talent. That never reached the full potential of him, but he is still a decent player with Moncao. The same applies to Denis Zakaria.
