Sunderland boss reveals his stance regarding potential recall of Manchester United’s Amad Diallo – Man United News And Transfer News

Manchester United loan Amad Diallo would benefit more from continuing at Sunderland rather than returning to Old Trafford.

This is according to Sunderland boss Tony Mowbray, who has addressed rumors of a potential return to United for the borrowed star.

After enduring a slow start at the Stadium of Light, things have picked up for the Ivorian.

Before the World Cup break, Diallo embarked on an extremely productive spell that saw him on the score sheet in a series of games.

Diallo has quickly established himself as one of the most important players in Mowbray’s squad and the manager has made no secret of his intention to keep the young winger at the club at least until the end of the season.

Mowbray said about it: “I think it’s better than him [Amad] he stays, plays with a smile and I hope he continues scoring goals and creating chances for us”.

“No one told me that it is something that [United] They are considering [a return from loan].”

Weighing whether there is a chance the 20-year-old will be retired by the parent club, the Sunderland boss said there is little chance of that happening.

He commented, “I’m sure it’s not even something that’s been considered.”

Mowbray indicated that, to his knowledge, the Red Devils are happy with the current situation and see no need to disrupt Diallo’s progression despite his visible issues regarding the lack of attackers.

Mowbray went on to point out that Diallo’s loan spell at Rangers was a disaster, comparing it to the fruitful campaign he is currently enjoying with the Black Cats.

United are more likely to allow Diallo to continue at Sunderland before a decision on his future is made at the end of the season.
