Steve McClaren recommends amazing £15m Celtic and Croatia star to Erik ten Hag – Man United News And Transfer News

Manchester United manager Steve McClaren has recommended Celtic defender Josip Juranovic to his boss, Erik ten Hag.

This is according to Dean Jones, who reports that McClaren is a staunch supporter of the Croatia international and has mentioned his name to Ten Hag as the Dutch boss intensifies his search for a full-back.

This is not the first time Juranovic has been linked with a move to Old Trafford.

He was linked to United over the summer but never materialised. He is now expected to leave at the beginning of the year when he opens the transfer window.

Not only the Red Devils are suitors for Juranovic.

West Ham are known fans of his. Over the summer, Celtic valued the player at £15m amid interest from Chelsea and Atlético Madrid.

Jones reports on Juranovic: “As we said before, McClaren really likes this guy, and that’s where I’m told the recommendation comes from.”

“I guess usually Ten Hag will look to prefer their own guys over anyone else who recommends people. But finally, now he has been able to see it in the World Cup ”.

“It’s a very easy way to locate a player in real time, especially when he’s playing on his own.”

Juranovic is a player who comes with quite a pedigree, despite playing in Scotland.

He has played every minute of the World Cup in Croatia and is one of the team’s key men.

He earned praise for his gallant performance against Brazil in the quarterfinals. Juranovic recently revealed that he isn’t thinking of an outing with his focus firmly on Croatia, but now that they’ve been knocked out of the tournament, his focus could change.
