Stephen Warnock called Calvin Ramsay the “featured artist” of the first half for Liverpool after going scoreless at half-time in their meeting with Derby County.
The young Scotsman looked like a confident presence on the Reds’ right flank, being reliable defensively and providing some performance at the top of the pitch (including the first shot of the game).
“Ramsay has been the featured artist,” the former Red told BBC Radio 5 Live (via BBC Sport). “Also defensively, he has a real change of pace and understands where he wants to take a player. He looks like a player”.
The Merseysiders have long sought suitable cover for Trent Alexander-Arnold following the excellent acquisition of Andy Robertson’s back in the form of Kostas Tsimikas.

The youngster did not get off to the dream start at Anfield after the medical team was injured following his move to L4.
It’s fair to say that since then the 19-year-old has come on in leaps and bounds, impressing in the youth team and deservedly earning his first senior start.
Rated highly from his time in Aberdeen and with a five-year age gap between him and Trent Alexander-Arnold, we may have recruited another gem to secure the role’s long-term future (not that it was in danger, the latter being only 24 years old).
