Spurs and Mourinho set to battle for wantaway Liverpool star

Liverpool fans will be well aware that this is going to be a summer of change at Anfield with several players set to leave the club and others set to move in, now one of the possible exits seems to have found a couple of suitors.

As reported by HITC (via AS Roma Live): “José Mourinho wants to rival Tottenham in the race to sign Liverpool midfielder Naby Keita on a free transfer this summer, and take the Anfield man to Serie A in the next few months”.

Naby Keita is set to leave the Reds on a free transfer in the summer as his contract comes to an end, so there are understandably clubs snooping around to try and land him on a cheap deal.

Our No. 8 will likely go down as one of the biggest transfer flops of Jurgen Klopp’s reign, simply because of the money we’ve spent on him and his inability to hold a place in the team long-term.

Inconsistent form and injury issues have meant the Guinean hasn’t seen many of our supporters express their upset over his possible departure, as the 27-year-old has a mixed career at Anfield.

Despite our recent downfall, this downfall to teams like the ones he has been linked to here may well suit the midfielder better and he may manage to impress in the later stages of his football career.
