Sport minister insists Juventus is not the problem of Italian football

Italian Sports Minister Andrea Abodi insists Juventus are not the problem after the Bianconeri were stripped of 15 league points for the use of capital gains.

Juve has been under several investigations for a long time and has been sanctioned for the capital gains case.

The bianconeri fans are unhappy because their team has lost so many points and the other clubs that did business with them have not yet been sanctioned.

Juve are the biggest club in the country and have been used as scapegoats by investigators, but in his defense, Abodi insists the entire football system has a problem.

He said via Football Italia:

“The problem is not Juventus, it is the entire football system that needs to take a deep look at itself.

“I have always been very cautious, as it seems that people believe that the Minister of Sports can control and decide everything, but there are roles that must be respected.

“What is happening is much more than a football match. Some things cannot be done alone. The technicalities used in these agreements must be explained to the general public so that they can understand them.”

Juve FC says

Comments from people like the minister make it clear that there could be an anti-Bianconeri agenda in Italian football.

Juve are still a team the competition needs and frustrating them or demoting the Old Lady won’t help anyone.

The club have vowed to fight back and the fans hope to succeed when they appeal the punishment.
