Former Juventus and Inter Milan striker Spillo Altobelli has not enjoyed watching the Bianconeri struggle this campaign and believes Max Allegri knows things need to improve.
The Bianconeri have just been beaten 2-1 by PSG in the Champions League and that result confirms their irregular start to the season.
They have also been struggling to maintain good form in domestic football.
In their defence, however, Juve have been unable to regularly call on some key players like Angel di Maria, Federico Chiesa and Paul Pogba.
Altobelli believes that when these individuals are back in top form, they will be a better team.
He said, quoted by Calciomercato:
“Sometimes it’s good to turn off the enthusiasm. Although he is gifted with a fine irony, he knows that now is not the time to joke, for after nine years of absolute dominance they are in trouble. Now they also have big names still in the pits, including Chiesa, Pogba and Di Maria: when they get them back it will be another team.
Juve FC says
We’ve had a bad start to the season domestically and in Europe, but it’s not impressive yet.
PSG is one of the strongest clubs in the world and we are not far from the top of the Serie A table.
Over time, our players will find a rhythm and we will consistently win matches.
