Where can I watch the South Korean game?

Many of South Korea’s competitive games, which compete outside of the Asian Football Confederation, are broadcast on Paramount+. Whether it’s the Asian Cup or the World Cup Qualifying, CBS’s paid streaming platform offers both competitions.

As for the biggest competition, the World Cup, it’s available to viewers in the United States on FOX. For the 2022 World Cup and beyond, the games air on Fox Sports 1’s linear FOX channel, the sports-specific channel for the company. South Korean games are also available in Spanish through Peacock Premium, in addition to Telemundo or Universo.

Keep in mind that friendlies are also common on the international scene. However, as these are unique games, there isn’t a select provider that streams every friendlies from a given country. Therefore, the South Korean friendlies could fall to whichever channel makes the highest bid to broadcast them. Fortunately, this South Korean National Team TV schedule is up to date with the latest listings for all games.

Line up

South Korea’s lineup revolves around one player. Son Heung Min. The Tottenham Hotspur star is undoubtedly one of the most talented players to ever emerge from Asia as a whole. He is a sure bet to be in South Korea’s starting lineup at Qatar 2022.

Other players vary in terms of where they play. Joining Son above is a fellow Premier League player, Hwang Hee-chan. Hwang plays for Wolverhampton Wanderers and continues to make an impact in Europe. The South Korean defense has only one player who plies his trade outside of Asia. Napoli centre-back Kim Min-jae is a regular starter in a Napoli team that repeatedly finds itself in the UEFA Champions League.

Of course, many of the South Korean players still represent South Korean clubs. The most international of them is Kim Young-gwon, who plays for Ulsan Hyundai. His 95 caps as a defender ranks second on the projected World Cup squad, meaning he should start for at least the group stage games for South Korea.
