Sky pundit on Liverpool’s top four hopes and which teams we won’t catch

Following the results against Manchester City and West Ham, many expected Liverpool to launch a bid to reinstate themselves as title contenders, but the loss to Nottingham Forest has once again put that in doubt.

Speaking on Sky Sports News, Jay Bothroyd gave his thoughts on our title and European aspirations: “I don’t think they’ll catch Arsenal and Man City, I definitely think they’ll be in the top four and go.” in one race in the season. The next World Cup will probably be good for them… they will finish in the top four, they have too much quality”.

It’s still early days to rule us out or rule us out of the race for anywhere in the Premier League and it’s good to see the 40-year-old still believes in Jurgen Klopp’s men.

Hopefully we can get our injured players back to full form as soon as possible so that when we start again after the World Cup we are ready to get a good run of results together.
