Sergej Milinkovic-Savic agrees deal with Juventus amidst long-standing Man United interest – Man United News And Transfer News

It looks like Manchester United will be missing out on Lazio’s Sergej Milinkovic-Savic.

The Serb has been linked with the 20-time English champions for a number of years, but the move has never come to fruition.

The constant rumors surrounding him and United have been perceived to be mostly driven by agents.

However, Milinkovic-Savic is never far from the headlines as a United target.

However, according to Tuttosport, the Lazio midfielder’s saga with the Red Devils could finally come to an end after an important novelty.

Tuttosport specifies that the 27-year-old player could be on his way to Turin for a possible transfer to Juventus.

“Sergej Milinković-Savić has reached an agreement with Juventus on salary.

“An agreement with the Serb and his agent Kezman on salary [reached] 5.5 million euros plus 1.5 in bonuses, still valid for next summer.

“Juventus must now reach an agreement on a fee with Lazio.”

To get the services of Milinkovic-Savic, Juventus will likely have to part with a large amount of money.

The ridiculously high demands of Lazio club bosses for the player have at times been discussed as a reason why no top club has bet heavily on him.

The Serbian international is contracted by the Biancocelesti until 2024, which still leaves Lazio with considerable power during negotiations.

Since 2015 when he arrived, Milinkovic-Savic has cemented his status as one of Lazio’s most important players.

This season, the midfielder has notched three goals and seven assists in 14 Serie A games. Currently on World Cup duty with his national team, his future is likely to become even clearer as the tournament draws to a close.

It will be interesting to see if United move for him or let Juventus have him unopposed.
