Saudi minister hints Liverpool ‘more desirable’ for takeover than Man Utd

Saudi Arabia’s sports minister, Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al Faisal, has been discussing whether the nation’s private investors will be interested in buying Liverpool or Manchester United.

Both clubs are on the market right now with both sets of American owners set to end their stewardship of the Premier League giants.

Asked if Jurgen Klopp’s side would be a “more desirable” business venture than the Old Trafford outfit, the 39-year-old suggested that because the Merseysiders’ fan base has been growing in the country in recent past few years, that may mean investors. he would be more inclined to make a move for the FA Cup winners over United.

Interest from Middle Eastern parties who have worrying human rights records will worry many Liverpool supporters and reports suggest that FSG would prefer to sell someone with a much cleaner record.
