Sassuolo CEO says Juventus punishment could harm Italian football

Sassuolo CEO Giovanni Carnevali has commented on the FIGC’s deduction of 15 points from Juventus and considers it not good for the Italian game.

Juve have just had their points taken away as punishment for their use of capital gains, which will seriously affect their season.

Max Allegri’s men had previously been working to challenge for the league title, but as things stand now they will struggle to even make it into the top four.

However, they must work hard to ensure that this season ends in a European place as one of the best clubs in the country.

Speaking on the subject, Carnevali said via Football Italia:

“It is sad and harmful for Italian football. I hope he can give us all the chance to start again because Italian football in general is struggling.”

Juve FC says

Juve is one of the biggest clubs in the world and arguably the biggest in Italian soccer, so the Bianconeri’s points deduction could affect the competition.

If Juve fail to qualify for the next Champions League, there will hardly be another Serie A team that can make as much of an impact as they did on that stage.

Hopefully, when they appeal the ban, it will be overturned.
