Sandro Sabatini compares Juventus this season with last season

Mediaset journalist Sandro Sabatini has compared the Juventus team for the 2021/2022 season and this campaign, highlighting that the Bianconeri have more league points at this point than last season.

Max Allegri returned to the club in the final term and continued to help rebuild the team, but there have been many changes and little progress.

Several players who had been with the club long term have left and Juve have added some new men to the group.

Considering they almost missed out on Champions League football last season, the black and white have done much better in the league this season.

Sabatini noted through Tuttojuve:

In addition to the notorious capital gains, Juventus has made a tactically recognizable market: De Ligt-Bremer, Chiellini-Gatti, Dybala-Di Maria, Zakaria-Pogba, Arthur-Paredes, Ramsey-Fagioli, Pellegrini-Kostic and then (less ” mirror ”) Bernardeschi-Milik. On balance, the team has been weaker so far due to the absence due to injury of the old (Church/Vlahovic) and the new (Di Maria/Pogba), who scored in the Champions League but not in the championship. For Allegri the usual criticism of the game is a waste, even if compared to 2021/22 he has 4 more points. Then there is the sanction, but it is something else… ”.

Juve FC says

As one of the biggest clubs in the world, fans expect rapid progress, but as Sabatini pointed out, there have been a lot of changes at Juve in recent months.

Several players have left with new players, so the team needs time to get back to their best performances and we could do that if we are patient with the guys.
