Ronaldo wastes brilliant Diogo Jota pass as Portugal fall to Spain defeat

Cristiano Ronaldo has given the finishing touch to club and national team many times but he has not done so with Portugal, after a perfect pass from Diogo Jota.

Our 20 won the ball upfield after a brilliant tackle on Dani Carvajal and slipped a pass into the 37-year-old’s path.

The Manchester United striker had a chance to give his nation an advantage against Spain.

Instead, his shot with his left foot was saved by Unai Simón and the chance disappeared.

Seeing as the Spanish won the game 1-0, thanks to an Álvaro Morata goal shortly after our forward was substituted, it turned out to be a costly failure.
