Cristiano Ronaldo news: Portugal captain Cristiano Ronaldo has added another feather to his crown.
Ronaldo was recently honored by the Portuguese Football Federation by awarding him the award for best scorer at the Gala Quinas de Ouro 2022.
The Portugal captain received the award for being the team’s all-time top scorer. Overall, Ronaldo has scored 117 goals in 189 appearances for the Portugal national team.
Known as the best Portuguese player in football history, Cristiano Ronaldo has been an inspiration for his national team thus far.

Manchester United star Cristiano Ronaldo won Portugal’s top goalscorer award at the 2022 Quinas de Ouro Gala.
Since making his debut for the national team in 2003, Cristiano Ronaldo has been a key player in the Portuguese team.
The talismanic striker led Portugal to their first major honor in 2016 when Portugal lifted the prestigious UEFA European Championship.
Three years later, Ronaldo’s Portugal became champions of the first UEFA Nations League. He is also the top scorer in international football and now he finally got his due recognition from the Portuguese Football Federation.
Describing his happiness at winning the award, Ronaldo said: “Proud to win the award for the best national goalscorer for the country I love!”
He also added: “I am proud to receive an award of this magnitude. I never thought that one day I could achieve it,” Ronaldo said after receiving the award.
Cristiano Ronaldo and Portugal will now participate in the next World Cup in Qatar. The World Cup is scheduled to start in November.
It was previously believed that this would be the last major event for the talismanic striker. However, Ronaldo dismissed all the rumors around him.
The Portuguese striker has given a message that he will play beyond the World Cup and is already looking at the next European Championship.

Ronaldo currently plays for English Premier League giants Manchester United. The Portuguese striker is not in a great moment of form and is going through one of the worst stages of his career.
The striker has been left out of the EPL starting eleven on more than one occasion. He finally scored his first goal of the season in United’s final game against Sheriff Tiraspol.
Cristiano Ronaldo now hopes that he can take advantage of this and arrive at the World Cup in top form.
