Romano warns where on the pitch Ajax could hurt LFC with Taylor

Liverpool will have to keep an eye on Ajax’s rising star Kenneth Taylor ahead of the two sides’ next meeting at Anfield tonight, Fabrizio Romano warned.

The Merseysiders are hoping to make up for a horrific 4-1 loss at Napoli last week, an outing that Jurgen Klopp admitted was the worst he had witnessed in his entire tenure at L4.

Speaking to Caught Offside, the Italian journalist noted: “The danger for Liverpool is in the quality and speed of the midfield, where Kenneth Taylor is the new star. But the Reds must and can react.”

The Dutchman has made a solid start to the 2022/23 season, registering four goal contributions in the team’s first eight Eredivisie games this season.

Having won all of their top-flight games so far, as well as securing an impressive 4-0 thrashing of Rangers in the Champions League, Alfred Schreuder’s men are arguably approaching their next match in a somewhat opposite position to ours.

We have in our favor the postponement of the meeting with Wolves, which will have given Klopp and his coaching staff enough time to point out the deficiencies in the team and what we can realistically improve before hosting Ajax at Anfield.

The local public will want a clear reaction after the ‘horror show’, as the German put it, from Napoli.
