Roma to compete with Juventus, Milan and Inter for Spezia’s Jakub Kiwior

Since arriving in Spezia in 2021, Jakub Kiwior has been attracting more and more attention with each new outing.

The 22-year-old is improving by leaps and bounds. This season, he has been an ever-present for the Aquilotti, making 15 Serie A appearances, and it was a similar case for the Polish team at the World Cup.

While Juventus have been one of the main candidates in the race to sign the defender, it appears that their list of suitors is growing rapidly.

According to La Repubblica via TuttoJuve, Roma have entered the fight for Kiwior, joining Juventus, Milan and Inter.

The source adds that Spezia had initially valued the centre-back at €15m, but with four Serie A giants vying for his service, the minnows are hoping for an auction that will raise the player’s price.

Juve FC says

Despite the additions of Gleison Bremer and Federico Gatti, the bianconeri still need to strengthen their back line with additional signings. After all, the Brazilian and Italian were direct replacements for Giorgio Chiellini and Matthijs de Ligt.

But with Leonardo Bonucci showing signs of aging and Daniele Rugani uninspiring, signing a promising young defender would be of the utmost importance for Juventus.

Now whether or not Kiwior would fit the bill remains up for debate, but the Polish international is surely an interesting prospect and one to keep an eye on.
