Midfielder Rodri regards Tottenham Hotspur as a contender for the Premier League title this season. Rodri, who plays for Manchester City, believes Tottenham Hotspur can challenge for the Premier League title this season. The midfielder says that Tottenham Hotspur have a great team and a great manager.
Rodri was full of praise for Tottenham Hotspur manager Antonio Conte, whose career, he said, “speaks for itself”.
“[Tottenham] They have formed a great squad and have a coach who has very clear ideas and who knows how to transmit them perfectly”, Rodri told Gazzetta dello Sport. “They know what they have to do and they do it with great precision. I see the Spurs as candidates for the title. Conte’s career speaks for itself.”
Meanwhile, both Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur have picked up 17 Premier League points so far this season. Man City sit in second place, courtesy of superior goal difference, while Tottenham sit in third place.
Both Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur have played seven games in the English top flight this season. Man City and Tottenham have won five of those meetings. The two teams also drew in two of their games.
Meanwhile, Arsenal sit at the top of the Premier League points table. The Gunners have 18 points through their first seven games. They have recorded wins in six of those matches, while suffering defeat in the other.
Man City will resume their Premier League campaign after the international break by taking on fierce rivals Manchester United. City host Man Utd at the Etihad Stadium in their next game. Man Utd come into the match on four consecutive Premier League wins after defeats in their first two matches.
