Report says Rabiot’s World Cup performance takes him closer to leaving Juventus

Juventus failed to get Adrien Rabiot to sign a new contract before the start of the World Cup and even tried to sell him to Manchester United in the summer.

The midfielder continues to be one of his main men and has become the axis of the French team in this World Cup.

He only has 6 months left on his current contract with the Bianconeri, which means he could leave as a free agent at the end of this season.

However, Juventus want to keep him and plan to try to keep him when he returns, but that seems highly unlikely at the moment.

A report on Calciomercato claims that while he shines at the World Cup, more clubs are taking an interest in signing him, making it difficult for Juventus to keep him in Turin.

The report claims that the Bianconeri will now have a lot of work to do to convince him to sign another contract at the Allianz Stadium.

Juve FC says

We should have offered Rabiot a new contract a long time ago if we wanted him to stay, however he wasn’t doing well until last season.

His performances have improved this term as well and we should probably think about a replacement because renewing his contract will cost a lot of money.
